The MOVIAC submitted the presidential candidate for the Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional (FMLN), Salvador Sanchez Ceren, a political proposal that address es, among many other things, the banning of metal mining exploration and exploitation in the country.

The proposal also includes a demand for an investigation into the threats, attacks and murders against environmentalists in Cabañas.
